COVID Safety Information

How can I keep myself & others safe?

Carrying out a lateral flow test prior to visiting the venue and only attending if your test was negative

Wearing a mask unless medically exempt

Following signage & staff instructions where you see one-way systems in place

Keeping your hands clean; utilising our hygiene stations & hand washing facilities in the toilets

Bringing minimal personal belongings into the venue

Alerting a member of staff if you develop symptoms whilst at the venue, maintaining social distancing & wearing your mask

Will I be able to buy interval refreshments?

Where possible please pre-order your interval drinks & ice creams to minimise contact with other. 

Transactions will be cashless & paperless, there will be a one way system in place

What are the social distancing rules?

As of 19 July, theatre’s will have been open to full capacity so you will be sitting next to other people

Theatres will continue to ask you to maintain a safe social distance where possible when queuing to take your seats & moving around the theatre. You may need to pass someone to take your seat in a row – to mitigate we recommend you wearing a face covering while moving around the theatre

What else are we doing?

We will be doing enhanced cleaning & regularly disinfecting. Some routes around the theatres may change in order to minimise your contact with others, so the helpful staff at the theatre will guide you

Please use the hand sanitiser stations when you enter & exit the theatres 

 

Following the Covid-19 Pandemic, we, along with many other businesses have made the decision to go cashless for the safety of our staff and patrons. This will be effective from the date of our re-opening on 1st September and no area of the building will accept cash.

 

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

What happens if I have COVID and can’t use my ticket?

We will ensure that you have maximum flexibility by allowing tickets to be exchanged up to 24hours prior to the performance. So if someone in your party is confirmed as COVID positive or has symptoms, there is no need to worry.

Opening Times

Our Box Office will be open from Wednesday 1 September. 

Please note we will only be open in person on show evenings between 4pm & 8pm for ticket collections.

Parking

Parking is available to the rear of The Alban Arena. The car park is free after 6.30pm every evening, with pay & display at other times.

Please note that a 3 hour limit has been put into operation at Civic Close Car Park during the day, this will affect Saturday day & Pantomime performances.

Group Bookings

Certain performances offer party booking rates for 10 or more. Please enquire when booking or contact our Box Office Manager on theatretickets@1life.co.uk

Please Note:

All our risk assessments are for internal use only, and it is not possible to write a specific risk assessment for every party that visits us, nor take responsibility for it’s implementation within the group, Please be assured that all site-specific risks are assessed and controlled as appropriate. With all groups, types of customers in mind and a customer visit to our theatre is a safe experience free from hazards.

Access Information

Disabled Facilities 

Wheelchair access throughout ground floor. A limited number of wheelchair spaces are available in the Auditorium. 

Please email theatretickets@1life.co.uk if you require wheelchair accessible seats as these can’t be booked online.

Disabled toilets are situated on the ground floor by our Box Office and Kiosk bar.

Please note that customers displaying blue badges may park on the double yellow lines adjacent to The Alban Arena for up to three hours.

 

 

Conditions of Sale

Exchange/Refund Policy

We will ‘exchange’ tickets for another performance to the same value or give a credit note to redeem against a show in the future. A handling fee of 10% of the total ticket price will be charged for this service and tickets must be exchanged at least 7 days prior to the performance date.

The ‘no refunds policy’ remains the same; patrons are requested to check their tickets at the time of purchase. Tickets for sell-out shows may be accepted by the Box Office for resale on behalf of the customer but no responsibility is accepted nor sale guaranteed. Any tickets sold on will be given a credit note to redeem against a show in the future less £1 per ticket.

Please note the booking fee and transaction fee are non-refundable under any circumstances; this includes the cancellation of a show. Please note credit is held for a maximum of 24 months.

 

 

Seating Plan

Concessions

Where reduced price is indicated, groups normally included are: Senior Citizens, Children, Students, UB40s, and Disabled, unless otherwise stated, or the category of show/film excludes specific group users. We reserve the right to introduce offers, which cannot be applied be applied to tickets already purchased. Reductions advertised are from the full standard price.

 

Children’s policy

Adults booking to see a children’s show must be accompanied by a child*. Children under 5 will not be admitted to any show other than family shows. A ticket must be purchased for children over 18 months old. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult to any show.

 

Carer policy

As with all concessionary tickets, proof of status will need to be shown by accompanying carers. Please contact the Box Office for more information.

 

*Exceptions to this rule will be made at the discretion of the management at the time of booking.
